About Sally Steedman
I am a Wetherby based coach and therapist with a wealth of life experience enabling me to add value when working with clients both in coaching and therapy. I trained to be a therapist for a number of reasons, partly because I had a phobia of moths from a young age and sought help from a therapist, it was easily and quickly eradicated and my personal experience spurred me on to become a therapist myself. You could say I was inspired by my own experience and although by comparison a moth phobia wasn’t a major problem – knowing how debilitating it is to have something in your life that you are fearful of and how it stops you from doing certain things it made me want to help other people to overcome their obstacles too. Since I started I am delighted to say that I have helped clients with a whole raft of issues and I keep adding to my portfolio so I can continually develop my skills enabling me to be more effective. I love the creative side of therapy as you never know what will be presented and thinking on your feet is a big part of the session.
Coaching is another way in which I help people to accomplish the things in life they desire and deserve. Life has it’s struggles but how many of us get up every day looking forward to doing the things that make us feel alive, empowered, excited, motivated? With coaching dreams become reality. Happiness is something that comes automatically when we are living our lives in the best way we can, we strive so hard to get it and yet for some it feels so far out of our reach. Coaching can help you to reach your potential, have fun, achieve the things you want and get more out of the life you have.
An important point to make is that I can offer a combination of therapy and coaching, this very much depends on you as an individual and as both therapist and coach I can easily identify which your best option is – coaching, therapy or a combination. You are in total control of this decision and if you prefer pure coaching there is no pressure to under go therapy at all.
So many people have said to me that they don’t feel worthy, they are not deserving. they are not good enough,they sabotage their own happiness and development because they lack the confidence to take a chance. Fear is the one human trait that we all share- what a comforting thought that is!
